Colonel Steven Maxwell is a seasoned and highly decorated law enforcement officer. After having served a distinguished career as an Agent, Supervisor, Captain, Lieutenant Colonel of Enforcement, Deputy Director, and Director of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Colonel Steven Maxwell currently serves as the Administrative Officer with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, where he will oversee drug demand reduction and develop identification and training on substance abuse by mental health patients. Additionally, Colonel Maxwell leads a study with other states on how to reduce the incarcerated population of drug offenders.
